Norwich defender Ward rejoins Nottingham Forest on loan until end of season

The centre-back spent two months at the County Ground earlier in the campaign and is set for a second stint with the Championship side despite their recent change of manager

Norwich City centre-back Elliott Ward has rejoined Championship outfit Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old was initially sent to the County Ground on a two-month deal in October and went on to make 11 appearances under Sean O’Driscoll.

However, Ward has failed to make it into the Canaries’ 25-man squad for the second half of the Premier League campaign upon his return, with Chris Hughton preferring the central-defensive partnership of summer arrivals Sebastien Bassong and Michael Turner.

And now, despite O'Driscoll's sacking and Alex McLeish's arrival as Forest manager, the defender is set to see out the remainder of the 2012-13 campaign with the club.

Fellow Norwich defender Daniel Ayala is also currently on loan at Forest, having started a season-long switch last summer.
