Kanoute undecided on whether to move to Middle East, China or the United States

The 34-year-old received an offer from a Chinese club, who he has held talks with but is yet to sign, while he suggested Drogba's move to Shanghai is "fantastic" for the country
Frederic Kanoute is mulling over his options as he targets a move to one of the Middle East, China or the United States.

The 34-year-old has parted ways with Spanish side Sevilla after seven seasons and 128 competitive goals for the club, and is therefore searching for a new team.

The former Tottenham forward has already met with Chinese outfit Beijing Guoan following their offer for his services, and admitted he is happy with how talks progressed, although he is not ruling out other possibilities yet.

"I went to China to discuss an offer that I got from the Chinese club," he told reporters. "I am delighted with what I heard.

"However, I have a lot of offers on the table at the moment and fingers crossed I will make the right choice."

Ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has already moved to the Chinese Super League to join Shanghai Shenhua, where he reunites with former Blues team-mate Nicolas Anelka.

Kanoute believes that the Ivorian's move will benefit Shanghai and the football development in the country, while revealing he can't wait to start next season wherever he ends up.

"It is fantastic for China." He added. "That will make their football attractive.

"Football has developed everywhere nowadays - all leagues are now very competitive.

"My career is not finished yet, I can still play at the top level. I am looking forward to next season either in the Middle East or China or the United States."
