The Uruguay international is in the dark about a reported meeting between the Brazilian club and his father, but insists that formal negotiations have not yet taken placeInter striker Diego Forlan has insisted that he is not in talks with Atletico Mineiro over a potential summer transfer.
Brazilian sources claimed earlier on Tuesday that Atletico had contacted Forlan's father in order to let the player know that they were ready to put together a two-year contract worth €3 million per annum for the Uruguayan.
"It seems that they have spoken with my father, but there is nothing," Forlan is quoted by Globoesporte as saying.
"There are no negotiations taking place."
Forlan signed for Inter last summer but has failed to make his mark at the Serie A club, with only two goals in 22 appearances.
The 32-year-old has been strongly linked with pastures new in the summer, but his agent has been adamant that the striker will see out his Nerazzurri contract, which expires in 2013.
