The centre-back insists his side hope to continue their European campaign for as long as possible, and believes they are evenly-matched with Malaga
The German double-winners face Malaga on Wednesday in the quarter-finals after beating Ukraine champions side Shakhtar Donetsk in the previous round, and Subotic insists they plan to continue their European adventure for as long as they are able.
"It is as if we go to a theme park. We want to see as much as possible and stay as long as possible,” he told Kicker.
“For us to continue to compete with the top teams will help us learn and teach us how good we really are."
Dortmund go into the tie as favourites to progress to the last four, but Subotic has claimed the sides are evenly matched given the relative inexperience of both teams.
"These two games are a unique experience for the players of both teams. There are two teams that will meet at about the same level but we know we can do great things," he went on.
“We only feel the pressure that we impose upon ourselves. I expect the best from my team-mates and they expect the best from me.”
