thumbnail Hello,

Centre back David Luiz looks like he will miss out on Chelsea's midweek clash with Barcelona after he was stretchered off when he went down awkwardly with what looked like a leg problem during the FA Cup semi final win over Spurs.

The Brazilian was injured in the build up to Tottenham’s 56th minute scored by Gareth Bale. Lengthy treatment was given to the defender on the pitch before Gary Cahill replaced him.

The club does not yet know the severity of the injury but it is a blow for the Blues as they enter a defining part of the season, which could now see January signing Cahill take up a vital role in the team.

The twenty four year old defender has become a regular in The Pensioners line up, despite criticism since he arrived from Benfica in last seasons January transfer window.

In a match the was filled with controversial goals for both sides, the West London side ran away with a comfortable 5-1 victory to set up a return to Wembley in a final with Liverpool who over came Everton 2-1 on Saturday.
