What is your current physical situation?

I'm yet again nursing an injury. I recently tore my quadriceps muscle a few centimeters, and now I'm out for around four to six weeks.

What do you miss the most about Kelantan?

I miss everything about Kelantan. I miss the amazing fans, the team, the team officials... Tan Sri Annuar Musa treated me very well when I was there. He was very supportive, especially during my recovery period.

How does it feel like to be in a team full of star players?

I feel blessed and wonderful to have a chance to play and train alongside players like Pablo Aimar and Luciano Figueroa. They are top professional players whom I can learn a lot from.

You have played for Datuk Ong Kim Swee before and now he is the interim national team coach. What do you think of his appointment?

Datuk Ong Kim Swee will be great for Harimau Malaya; I believe he is good for the future of Malaysian football. He has great eyes for players, he's good at scouting, and he's not bad tactically.

How do you keep your spirits high despite having suffered so many injuries?

The worst injury I had was when it took a year for me to recover. All of those injuries have forced me to be strong mentally, because they required me to go through difficult processes like serious rehabilitation and physio sessions.

How long do you think you can still play professionally?

I hope I can play until I'm 38 years old. In order to do that I must keep training hard every day and maintain my fitness level.

Who do you think are JDT's main rivals this year?

It seems like all the other teams are playing well, especially when they play against us. But I think our main rivals are Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Selangor.

What do you hope to accomplish this year?

I hope I will be able to help JDT win throphies this year, because my ambition is to win at least one trophy in my first year with this team. I also hope I can return to the national team.
