Perak FA forward Failee Ghazali believes that the strong rapport between the players and their head coach Azraai Khor Abdullah has been the catalyst to their decent start to the season so far. Despite being beleaguered by plenty of injuries, the Seladangs have secured two wins in four games so far, and have only conceded two goals in the process.
Failee Ghazali was the match winner against Negeri Sembilan yesterday, as he fired home from just outside the box to give them a memorable victory at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi. However, the former USM striker was modest about his feat, shifting the credits to Azraai instead.
"Azraai Khor has been fantastic for us. He is more like a friend to us, and keeps us motivated all the time," Failee said in an exclusive interview with Goal.com Malaysia.
"He treats every player nicely and you can see that every player wants to fight for him on the pitch. I would say that he is our major catalyst.
"But regardless, I was very happy to score the goal today as most importantly, it means that we are on six points now. Hopefully, we can build on this and take on Selangor at Lumut on Sunday."
The forward also went on thank the Perak fans who made the long journey from Ipoh to Seremban, claiming that they are an inspiration to all the players.
"I've got to thank the fans as well. They are constantly there for us whether we win or lose and these are the things that continue to inspire us as players. So, this victory is for them to enjoy."
Perak will next take on Selangor at the Royal Navy Stadium in Lumut next Tuesday.
