The former Roma boss has quelled recent rumours linking him with a return to back to Italy by outlining his intention to remain in Russia with Zenit St PetersburgZenit St Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti has insisted he wants to see out his contract with the Russian side.
The Italian boss has been rumoured to be on the verge of moving back to Serie A, however, he has revealed he has no intention of returning to his homeland.
"In Serie A there are many young and talented coaches. But, I want to respect my contract with Zenit, I am happy here and I want to continue the project I have started with this club," Spalletti told Morning Sport.
Spalletti also praised current Roma boss Aurelio Andreazzoli who has turned things around at the capital side since taking over from Zdenek Zeman.
"Andreazzoli is doing good things. He is very familiar with the environment at the club and I think he will still be the coach of the Giallorossi for the upcoming season," he continued.
The 54-year-old is under contract with Zenit until December 2015 and reportedly earns over £5 million per season.
