The coach does not care much for the recent comparisons between the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri, and stated that those should be put to rest until the game on Sunday is throughSpeaking ahead of Derby della Madonnina, Andrea Stramaccioni has stated that the debate on who of Inter and AC Milan are a stronger team will be decided on the pitch, not in the media.
The young Nerazzurri coach has been in charge of the team in only one clash with the Rossoneri, which his side won 4-2, and insisted that both outfits have developed since the last time they met.
“Milan have changed a great deal, albeit in a different way to us. I think this game will be wide open and you could bet on absolutely any result. It’s a fascinating fixture,” he said at a press conference.
"It will be proven on the pitch who is stronger between Inter and Milan. My players might be more experienced than Milan’s, but Massimiliano Allegri has more experience than me, so it all balances itself out."
Stramaccioni also made it clear that he would not be changing his game plan to defend against certain threats and played down the effect any result would have on his side's season.
"Stephan El Shaarawy is doing very well for Milan, but they have several dangerous players, so my team must not change its shape just to fit the opposition. I don’t think tomorrow’s result can fundamentally change the direction we are going in."
