thumbnail Hello,

The young Dutch striker found opportunities at Inter limited, and has confirmed that he will move to the Eredivisie club to get more regular first-team football

Luc Castaignos has revealed that he has agreed a four-year deal to move from Inter to Twente.

The 19-year-old found playing time limited in the Nerazzurri first team since moving to Italy in the summer of 2011, making just six Serie A appearances and scoring just once.

As such, the forward feels a switch back to the Eredivisie is in his best interests.

“I am going from Inter to Twente for €6 million,” the ex-Feyenoord man told FCInterNews.

“I have signed a four-year contract, but I would prefer for the financial details to remain private.

“I came to Inter in order to show who Luc Castaignos really was and what I am capable of on the football field, but had very few opportunities to do that.

“In any case, I hope this year can be better for the Nerazzurri, because they do not deserve to experience another season like that.

“I chose Twente because I wanted to join a team where I knew I’d have a better chance of playing and improving,” he concluded.

Castaignos will fill the gap at the Enschede club left by Luuk de Jong, who left Steve McClaren’s side to join Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this summer.
