The 19-year-old midfielder had long been expected to join Juventus, but the Serie A champions refused to increase their bid for 'the new Andrea Pirlo', whose preference had been to spend another year with the Delfini before linking up with the Bianconeri.
Consequently, Verratti, who was included in Italy's provisional squad for Euro 2012, is now expected to complete a reported €12 million move to PSG on Tuesday.
"I cannot wait to start," the teenager told Sky Sport Italia on Monday evening. "It was an opportunity I could not miss out on.
"I'm excited because I'm going to play with champions that I have been watching only on television. But I will keep Pescara in my heart. I will return as soon as possible."
Verratti, who has been capped three times at Under-21 level, made 31 appearances for the Delfini in Serie B last term.
