It has been claimed that 'the new Andrea Pirlo' is poised to move to the Parc des Princes, but the teenager insists that he has not yet been the subject of any formal approach

Pescara starlet Marco Verratti has dismissed reports that he is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Delfini owner Daniele Sebastiani announced on Thursday that the club had accepted a bid, believed to be in the region of €12 million, from the Ligue 1 outfit for the teenage midfielder.

However, Verratti insists that nothing has been finalised and that his future remains up in the air.

"We're still missing an agreement with PSG," the regista told Sky Sport Italia. "There is nothing concrete. I am very calm and I will continue to enjoy my holidays.

"When an offer arrives, I will make the right decision in conjunction with my club. But official offers have still not arrived. At the right moment, we will see what is best for both parties."

Juventus had long been considered the favourites to land Verratti but, as Goal.com revealed, the Bianconeri are now set to miss out on 'the new Andrea Pirlo' because of their refusal to increase their bid for a player who was included in Italy's preliminary squad for Euro 2012.
