Bologna vice-president Maurizio Setti has claimed that the club want at least €20 million for Gaston Ramirez, and said that the player is more likely to move to England or Germany because none of their Serie A rivals will be able to meet the asking price.
The Uruguay international is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe and the Rossoblu are resigned to losing him this summer.
However, Setti insists that the 21-year-old attacking midfielder will not be allowed to depart the Renato Dall'Ara on the cheap.
“We know full well that it is difficult in Italy for certain figures to be met, but we must start from at least €20m for Ramirez,” Setti told Sky Sport24.
“In Serie A, I’d certainly see him doing well at Antonio Conte’s Juventus, but, as I said, I doubt whether any Italian clubs will be able to meet our price.
“At the moment, the greatest interest has come from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.”
Meanwhile, Setti also revealed that he is well aware that dynamic midfielder Gaby Mudingayi is also attracting interest from elsewhere in Italy.
“I can certainly say Milan and Inter need a player with his characteristics," he mused. "But every year I hear it said he’ll leave, and in the end he always stays. Gaby is happy here and the fans adore him."
Bologna, who are currently ninth in the Serie A standings, wrap up their campaign away to Parma on Sunday evening.
