Moratti: Hopefully Juventus won't continue to 'cause controversy'

The Inter supremo has congratulated the Serie A champions for their Scudetto triumph, but added that he hopes the Old Lady won't stir up any more contentious issues
Inter president Massimo Moratti has congratulated Juventus for winning the Scudetto, and feels the Old Lady deservedly clinched the league title following a "fantastic season".

However, Moratti urged the Bianconeri not to engage in any further controversies. Juventus' title this campaign was officially their 28th on record, but the club intend to add a third star to their jersey as they feel they have won 30 Scudetti in total.

The Serie A champions were stripped of their 2005 and 2006 titles because of their alleged involvement in the Calciopoli scandal.

"It's obvious that Juventus would celebrate; they deservedly won the league. Hopefully they won't continue to cause controversy," Moratti was quoted as saying on the Nerazzurri's official website.

"Right now they're happy, which is normal. And I send them my congratulations; to their president and the entire club, because they had a fantastic season."

Inter played a key role in Juve's success as they beat second-placed AC Milan 4-2 on Sunday to end the Rossoneri's title dreams.
