'It's nice, very nice to win here' - Brunei DPMM coach Vjeran Simunic after 2-1 win over SAFFC
The Croatian was delighted with his team's taming of the Warriors but made sure to keep expectations low

"How can you come to this ground and tell me I [will] win. Only crazy ppl can say that!" was Vjeran Simunic's verdict on his side's win at Choa Chu Kang Stadium on Sunday night.
But his Bruneian outfit for most parts of the game outplayed the mighty SAFFC to come away with a 2-1 win to add to their point taken off of defending champions Tampines Rovers last week.
"It's nice, very nice to win here," added Simunic.
"Eight-times champions; they're very good team you know?
"I watched many youtubes, many situation about them. I think we make tactically a very good team and we played a passing game.
"The plan was to not let them get near our defence. [Mislav] Karoglan, no.7[Tatsuro Inui] and Fazrul [Nawaz] are very very dangerous players.
"It could have been 3-1 [for us], but i'll be happy even with a draw. I respect that."
The returning DPMM coach was also ready to point out that despite their big win, expectations shouldn't instantly rise though he did let on that he had big plans for his teams.
"I don't like to get a big result, because the moment it happens someone will want from me spectacular results," mused the coach.
"We haven't played football in three years, and we need to be logical. We cannot come to Singapore now and win the Championship.
"But I'm always hungry for trophies. I always translate my spirit to my team and I think I'm on a good way. Now, I'm happy. Now, I'm satisfied why i left a very good job in Vietnam.
"We can make a good story in future. But i have a big problem with the bench so we must work hard to replace the players. Because with suspensions and injuries it won't be easy."
Simunic, however, was again quick to reiterate his stance on the team's need to keep their feet on the ground.
"I'm really happy with four points, it's better than 6 points," he explained.
"6 points make you crazy. Make you come up with wrong target!"
