Perak FA supporters are determined to avoid any more flare and firecracker incidents by giving a declaration to Perak’s Chief Minister.
According to their general secretary, Abdul Aziz Yeop, Perak Football Association (PAFA) said that the declaration is to state that all Perak supporters are against bringing firecrackers and flares into any games.
Quoting from Sinar Harian, Abdul Azis said “We will give the declaration to chief of minister and for that, we are hoping that this will help the authorities to prevent people bringing in flares and firecrackers to the stadium.”
Abdul Aziz also confirmed that the security at the stadium will be much tighter in upcoming games at Ipoh.
The PAFA will also collaborate with the Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM) to ensure that the illegal items do not pass through the security gates.
“Other than security checks, we will also put officers in the audience seats,” added Abdul Aziz.
In the Malaysia Cup Perak are in Group B, together with Terengganu, Sarawak and Premier League side Kedah, as they look to advance from the group stage into the next round.
