Datuk Rozi Mamat of Terengganu State Youth and Sports Human Resources Committee has confirmed that starting next year, T-Team will be under the management of the Terengganu State Sports Council (SSC).
According to him, T-Team, currently under the management of the Terengganu government, will move to the SSC so that they will become more structured and managed in an orderly fashion.
Quoting from Bernama, Rozi said “The main aim for the move is to provide a better future for the players of T-Team.”
Rozi also confirmed that all budget and finance for the management of the team would be provided by the state government.
Meanwhile, commenting on both T-Team’s and Terengganu’s performance in matchday one of the Malaysia Cup, Rozi said he was satisfied with T-Team, but disappointed with the Turtles.
He explained that despite being under a new coach, he was happy with T-Team’s performance, but expect better from Terengganu who lost to Sarawak in Kuching.
Rozi also had a warning for the import players, stating that they will not hesitate to suspend the players if they fail to perform.
“We will suspend them if there are no changes in their game over the upcoming fixtures,” added Rozi Mamat.
