Despite comfortably beating MSL side Sime Darby 3-0 in their first game, PDRM head coach Azman Adnan does not want to get carried away with the win.
According to him, the win was made possible by the hard-work and commitment shown by the players themselves, and insisted that their journey in the Malaysia Cup still has a long way to go.
He also emphasized that what’s important was to get the maximum three points which will be a catalyst for the match against Selangor next week.
Quoting from Utusan, Azman said “I want to give credit to all my players who showed great determination, following the tactical orders that I gave them before the game. The win will be great motivation for the players before facing one of the favourites Selangor next week.”
Azman also said that the win was not easy for them, as PDRM are playing as one of the underdogs in the tournament.
“I don’t want to say that the win against Sime Darby was easy because they are the team from the Malaysia Super League and we are from the Premier League, so we are the underdogs,”added Azman.
Playing without their Brazilian Charles Souza Chad, the cops had no problem beating Sime Darby by a convincing 3-0 scoreline, with Bobby Gonzales and Ashfaq Ali scoring the goals.
