Paulo Rangel looks like he will be donning the red and yellow of Selangor for another season beyond the upcoming Malaysia Cup. The Brazilian tweeted this on his official twitter account.
Contrato assinado!! Mais 2 anos juntos,hoje concerteza é uns dos dias mais felizes e importante da… http://instagram.com/p/rTxQLAliID/— . (@PauloPr9rangel) August 5, 2014
Which loosely translates to - "Contract signed. Over 2 years together, surely today is the happiest and most important days".
After scoring 16 goals for the Red Giants in the recently concluded MSL season, Rangel has become an integral part of Mehmet Durakovic's team. His proficiency in front of goal has led the sleeping giants back challenging for the league title and is likely to be the key player, should Selangor look to compete in the latter stages of Malaysia Cup.
This news should please the Selangor fans as Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) has been rumoured to be interested to pry Rangel away from Klang Valley. One less worry for Mehmet ahead of the oldest cup competition in Asia.
