Kelantan will be showcasing their sign of support for MAS by including their official logo on their jersey for the 2015 season of Malaysian football.
Kelantan FA advisor, Tan Sri Annuar Musa made the announcement yesterday, claiming that this will be their method of paying unparalled tribute to the fallen victims of flight MH17, which was shot down in Ukraine last week.
The Red Warriors jersey usually contains a flurry of corporate logos, but this time around, they will include the MAS logo as a sign of solidarity, without any charges at all.
“For the 2015 season, the Kelantan football jersey will have the MAS logo. We will do it voluntarily at no charge,” Tan Sri Annuar Musa said.
The flight from Amsterdam was bound for Kuala Lumpur, but was apparently shot down as it was passing the Ukraine-Russia border; killing almost 300 people on board.
The tragedy marks the second crisis for Malaysia Airlines in a matter of months, after flight MH370 went missing in March. Despite a global hunt for the plane, there has been no real progress in discovering it and the reasons behind its disappearance.
