Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president, Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah, announced the decision after learning that activities, such as sporting events, are not allowed to be held on Thursday nights in Terengganu.
Afandi also added that the FAM will also review the entire schedule for Malaysia Cup matches in order to provide the best conditions for every party.
According to Bernama, Afandi said “We have our certain contstraints, but at the same time, we also need to provide the best schedule for each match.”
The issue on the match between T-Team and Selangor arose after the CEO of T-Team, Abdul Rashid Jusoh, requested for the match to be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, commenting on the Harimau Malaya coach Dollah Salleh, Afandi has every confidence that Dollah can bring back the glory days of Malaysian football.
“I also believe that the new coaching team is the best choice made by Dollah. The AFF Suzuki Cup will be their first test,” added Afandi.
Earlier this week the FAM appointed Mohd Reduan Abdullah and Wan Mustaffa Wan Ismail to be the assistant coaches of the Malaysian team.
