It was another sombre note in the history of Malaysian aviation when Malaysian Airline flight MH17 was reportedly shot down over the borders of Ukraine early Friday morning. Messages of support and condolences were coming in from all over the world, from head of states to celebrities and now, football club.

Arsenal Football Club posted on their official Twitter account to offer words of support to those involved in the incident. This is not the first the time that Arsenal has put out such message, having done the same after the disappearance of flight MH370.

The official Malaysian Liverpool Twitter account also sent out a similar message as more news and theories of what transpired with MH17 were starting to stream out on the internet.

Goal Malaysia would also like to take this chance to offer our condolences and support to the friends and families of those on board of MH17.
