Despite only being a charity match, Kelantan are determined to fight hard when they face the newly crowned MSL champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) this Sunday.

According to Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah, the friendly match will also serve as preparation for both teams before the Malaysia Cup campaign starts next month.

Speaking to Sinar Harian, Afandi said “JDT will come here with their best team, so I hope the fans will not miss this. We are also trying to invite some players to play but I won’t say a thing right now because KAFA have not decided anything yet.”

Meanwhile, in information taken from the Facebook page of KAFA advisor, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, he stated that former Kelantan striker Mouhamadou Moustapha Mane and Lek Kcira are some of the names that will be playing that match.

The match will be held in Sultan Muhamad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, with fans only having to pay between RM5-10 for a ticket, as the game is being sponsored by Hotlink.

“This game is a charity game, whereby the profits from the tickets will be given to the orphanage. At the same time, some of the match actions will be included into the “The Red Warriors - The Movie”,” he added.

In other news, Afandi, who is also the Vice President of the FAM, stated that the voting ceremony for the 2014 Malaysia Cup will be held at National Sports Institute (ISN) and the format will be the same as last year.
