Head coach of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), Bojan Hodak, has urged his players to continue their winning momentum for another 90 minutes if they wish to win the Super League this coming Wednesday.
According to Bojan, the players now have their best chance to win their first trophy, after they comfortably defeated Kelantan at the Larkin Stadium.
Quoting from Utusan, Bojan said “Every player has shown good performances so far this season but they still have one more game to go. The 3-0 win against Kelantan was unexpected but I believe every player has done their best and they deserved that win.”
However Hodak admitted that the team have to remain guarded and focused, as the match against Sarawak will not be easy, especially as they have to play away from home. But the former Kelantan coach does believe that they have the ability and confidence to continue their current winning momentum.
Meanwhile, captain Safiq Rahim said he was satisfied with the win against Kelantan as it was a crucial win for their quest in winning a trophy this season.
“The win against Kelantan was very crucial as it gives us more hope of winning the league this season. The next game is the final game of the season and I hope that every player can do their best not to waste this chance,” said Safiq.
JDT are currently leading the MSL and are a single point ahead of second-place Selangor, who will face PKNS FC this Wednesday. If JDT fail to win and Selangor are able to collect three points, the Red Giants will be crowned as the 2014 MSL champions.
