Kelantan’s assistant head coach Hashim Mustapha has praised his players after their excellent performance gave Kelantan a win over Selangor.
Taking over from George Boateng, who need to go back to the UK temporarily, Hashim believed it was crucial for the team to win at this stage of the MSL.
Speaking to the reporters after the game, Hashim said “It was a valuable three points as because of the win, we have improved our position in the table.”
Hashim also gave credit to the players, who worked really hard throughout the 90 minutes to give Kelantan a valuable three points in front of their loyal supporters.
“Tonight, the players gave their best and they all got the reward for their hard work by collecting three good points at home,” he added.
Forkey Doe gave the Red Warriors the lead in the first half after he worked will with Prince Tagoe. Kelantan kept the pressure on in the second half and winger Wan Zaharulnizam sealed the win for the home team.
Kelantan now will face league leaders Johor Darul Ta’zim, and a win against the Southern Tigers could dent their chances of winning the MSL this season.
