Super League team PKNS FC have announced that they have decided to ‘rest’ their head coach, Wan Jamak Wan Hassan, after a string of poor results in the last few matches.
According to their President, Siti Zubaidah Abd Jabar, the decision was made unanimously by the PKNS EXCO during an emergency meeting.
The assistant head coach, Anuar Abu Bakar, has been appointed as the interim coach and will manage PKNS FC immediately, replacing Wan Jamak.
Speaking to Bernama, Siti said “We are confident that Anuar can carry the responsibility and help to improve the performance of the team so that we will stay in the MSL for next season.”
PKNS have failed to win a single game since April 11th and they are now tenth in the table with only 17 points from 17 matches.
Anuar’s first game will be against Perak and a win is a must for them if they want to kickstart their fight against relegation.
PKNS FC’s home form is not that impressive however, as they have only managed to record two wins out of eight matches, with three defeats.
