Saiful Nizam, otherwise known as Poyeng, revealed that he has mixed feelings ahead of the FA Cup final 2014 as his team Pahang will face Felda United.

Poyeng used to live in Felda Adela, Kota Tinggi, and he has admitted he is proud to see Felda United make it to the FA Cup final for the first time in their history.

Talking to Utusan, Poyeng said “As a professional footballer, I must give my best to team that I am serving and this is normal for any players. Just like the game against JDT. Despite playing against the team where I was born, I gave my 100% commitment and will do the same against Felda United.”

Poyeng is also determined to give his best in the final after missing out on the second leg of the FA Cup semi-final in Kuantan due to suspension. However, he knows that it is up to coach Zainal Abidin whether he will play in the final at Shah Alam stadium.

“Of course as a player, I want to play in the final and this would be my first final in my career. But I know the competition for a starting eleven is tough with all players determined to play in the final.”

Poyeng also added that Pahang are not underestimating Felda United after the Settlers knocked out holders Kelantan in the semi-final.
