Raimi Md Nor is excited ahead of the FA Cup final against Pahang as he did not expect that he would be taking part in a final this season.
According to him, it was unexpected after he had to left Selangor in April in order to get more playing time.
Speaking to Berita Harian, Raimi said “I feel lucky, excited and still can’t believe this opportunity for me to play in the final for the first time. Clearly my transfer to Felda United is really worth it.”
Raimi, who was with Selangor from their youth squad to the Presidents squad, is one of the key players that helped Felda United beat Kelantan in the semi-final.
When asked about his chances of playing in the final, the 28-year-old stated that he will definitely give his best if selected by the coach.
“If I were given the chance to play, I will repay the faith given by coach Irfan Bakti by showing 120% commitment. Despite a lot of people tipping Pahang to be champion, we will try our best show what we can do and to make sure that Felda United will be the first club-status team to lift the FA Cup trophy,” he added.
Raimi also added that the change of venue for the FA Cup final might give an extra advantage for Felda United, as some of the players are from Selangor and are used to playing at the Shah Alam Stadum.
Felda United will face Pahang this Saturday at Shah Alam Stadium after eliminating defending champions Kelantan in the semi-final.
