Pahang's win against JDT and their celebration in making it to this year’s FA Cup final were disrupted after some of their fans threw a Molotov cocktail towards the JDT team bus right after the game.
Reports suggested that two 30-year-old men threw the cocktail towards the bus with the police arresting them.
According to Utusan Malaysia, there were no injuries reported but the actions left a sour taste in the mouth of Pahang fans and officials, at a time they should have been celebrating getting their revenge over JDT.
Police have taken the two suspects to the Kuantan police headquarters for further investigation on the issue.
The game against JDT ended with the home team winning the tie after Faizol Hussain scored the decider on the evening on 81 minutes to bring Pahang to the FA Cup final.
Pahang recorded a 2-1 aggregate win over JDT, and now will face Felda United in the final of the FA Cup this weekend.
Meanwhile, Felda United made it through to the final after overcoming defending champion Kelantan on away goals.
