Pahang’s midfielder Hafiz Kamal is confident that the Elephants will reach the FA Cup final this season ahead of their semi-final clash against Johor Darul Ta’zim.
Despite knowing that it will be a tough challenge against the Southern Tigers, Hafiz said Pahang are more ready and confident this time, after they were defeated at the same stage against JDT last season.
Hafiz is determined to get his revenge on JDT this season, when both teams meet this Tuesday in the first leg of their semi-final.
According to Astro Arena, Hafiz said “Personally I don’t think that is impossible because in Super League, we beat them 3-2. However we need to be more careful because the first game is away at Larkin.”
He also added that he is hoping they will get a positive result in the first leg of the semi-final at Larkin to bring back to Kuantan for the second leg.
Last year, JDT beat Pahang on the away goals rule after a 2-2 draw over the two legs, with Johor going onto the final before losing to Kelantan.
Hafiz Kamal has just returned from national duty with Malaysia, where he helped the Malayan Tigers fight to a 0-0 draw in Cebu against the Philippines, and he is determined to continue his impressive form against JDT.
