Former Ghana international and new Kelantan signing Prince Tagoe has insisted that he is ready to give his full commitment in helping the Red Warriors turn their season around.
According to Tagoe, he will give his best every time he is selected by his coach and play in any game he is asked to.
Speaking to Utusan, Tagoe said “I know Kelantan fans are hoping that the team’s attack will be much stronger (than) before this, so I will take that as a challenge to work hard.”
Tagoe is one of the new signings that the KAFA have brought in, replacing strong defender Obinna Nwaneri, whose contract was terminated by the association due to injury and discipline problems.
Other than Tagoe, Kelantan also signed Hussein Alaa Salman, an Iraqi defender, filling up their Asian import player quota. They also terminated Mohamed Ghaddar’s contract after several unimpressive displays.
However, striker Francis Forkey Doe and midfielder maestro Mohamad Shawky remain with the team in their quest to fight for a place in the top three.
The KAFA have also signed a new head coach in George Boateng, replacing Steve Darby in a major revamp of the staff in order to improve performance.
Meanwhile, Tagoe also revealed that he rejected offers from clubs in Tunisia, Croatia and Romania, and chose Kelantan based on their impressive record in previous seasons.
