Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin wants the FAM to take serious action against former Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) head coach On Jaabar.

During the clash against UiTM FC, On Jabbar punched match official Sukri Abdul Rahman to demonstrate his disappointment with the display of the referee, and Jamaluddin wants him to receive heavy punishments for his actions.

According to Astro Arena, Jamaluddin said “what he did was absolutely wrong. In fact, he should’ve shown a much better example. Even (if) he was not satisfied with what happened, that’s not the way to show it.”

The incident happened when both teams were ready to leave the pitch, when suddenly On Jabbar punched Sukri’s face before they were separated and brought off the pitch by the policemen present.

Recently, Johor Football Association (PBNJ) gave On Jabbar a RM25,000 fine as well as firing him as head coach, but he remains one of the Exco members of the PBNJ.

Meanwhile, commenting on Sultan Ahmad Shah’s statement saying he wants to fight for the FAM Presidential seat, Jamaluddin said “that’s his right to defend his post. The committee members can make the best decision now we have three candidates.”

Sultan Ahmad Shah is set to fight with his son, the deputy president of the FAM Tengku Abdullah, and against the President of PBNJ Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
