Chaos erupted in Ipoh last night after Johor Darul Takzim secured a 1-0 victory over Perak. The game was visibly a tensed affair, with both set of fans exchanging banters during the clash.
However, a minor scuffle was started right after the game, as some of the fans took the banter a bit too seriously. Stones and missile objects were thrown at each other after the game, with some volunteers and journalists even getting hurt in the process.
The scuffle apparently started after Perak fans started throwing flares and firecrackers onto the pitch after the final whistle was blown.
Beisdes that, there was further controversy after the Johor DT officials discovered that their team bus was vandalized with paint and stones, causing damages on windscreen of the bus.
When quizzed on the matter, Perak FA President Datuk Zainol Fadzi said: "We strongly condemn the actions of several irresponsible fans with regards to the vandalism done on Johor DT's team bus.
"They've not only tarnished the image of the civilized Perak FA fans, but also left a negative perception on the away side. This is unacceptable," he told Sinar Harian.
