Perak have reportedly broke Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) rules during the game against T-Team last Saturday, which could lead to T-Team being gifted three points
T-Team might get the maximum three points from their draw against Perak last Saturday as Perak reportedly breached FAM rules by playing a player who did not get a minimum of 48 hours rest before playing another game.
On the 20th of March 2014, Perak player Mugenthirran played for their President squad clash against Kuala Lumpur, wearing the number nine jersey for the team. However, during Perak’s clash with T-Team at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah in Terengganu on the 22nd of March, Mugenthirran once again played for Perak for the MSL clash.
This would mean that Mughentirran did not get the minimum of 48 hours rest set by the FAM before playing in Perak's draw at Terengganu.
T-Team reportedly have responded to this by sending a protest letter to the FAM. If found guilty, T-Team could get all three points which would lift them to 7th in the table, which would be a huge boost for them after they also recorded a win against Sime Darby in their last fixture.
The Titans have been struggling all season long and the game against Perak ended as a 1-1 draw between the two teams.
T-Team are currenty 9th in the table, with 11 points, while Perak are at the bottom of the table with only eight points from nine games this season.
