Johor FA have confirmed that they've replied to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) letter, in regards to the incident that took place at Larkin Stadium last month
Johor Football Association (JFA) secretary-general Mohd Fahmy Yahya has confirmed that Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) answered the letter that was issued by the FAM earlier this month.
Speaking to Utusan, Fahmy bluntly stated “We already answered the letter to FAM,” and refused to comment any further, including divulging when their response letter was submitted.
Earlier, JDT had been accused of wrongdoing for the incident which happened at the Larkin Stadium, during the FA Cup clash second round fixture between JDT and T-Team.
The FAM secretary-general, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, had informed media that the charges brought against them was due to the failure of the JFA to handle the safety and security inside the stadium.
During the incident, T-Team players refused to play in the second half of the match after they claimed that their import player and fitness coach had been assaulted by the highest official of JDT.
Police reports have been made and various parties have insisted that the FAM resolve the issue between the two teams as soon as possible, including the Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin.
