The Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) team manager believes that recent results show the team are performing better, but insisted that is still much work to do
Another win for The Southern Tigers sees them sit in second place behind Kelantan, and it has given confidence for the whole team to keep on winning says team manager Bojan Hodak.
However, the former Kelantan head coach insisted that they cannot be too comfortable with their latest win against Sime Darby, admitting that there is still a lot of work to do.
Speaking to Berita Harian, Hodak said “During the game it can be clearly seen that we controlled the game, and after they were down with 10 men, we kept playing the same way. However, I have to admit that some of our internationals who just came back from (the) UAE looked tired.”
In the game against Sime Darby, JDT started to show their teamwork and performed well as a team under head coach Cesar Jimenez, winning the game 2-0 with goals from Norshahrul and Luciano Figuroea.
“They played really well, especially Fadhli Shas, who was really calm despite attacks coming from the opposition,” added Bojan.
Bojan Hodak also confirmed that Argentinian playmaker Pablo Aimar was not in the team due to injury but should be available for next game. The two Malaysian internationals, Aidil Zafuan and Safee Sali, were also not available as both of them picked up injuries during international duty.
“Aimar will return for training this week and I’m sure he will play some part against Terengganu, but Aidil and Safee still going to be out for a while as both of them will go through MRI scans to see the seriousness of their injury,” he added.
JDT are one of the favourites to win the title this year, with a star-studded squad, and they also have reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, facing Pahang once again after the two met last year.
