Former President of the FAM disciplinary committee, Tan Sri Zaman Khan, has urged no further delays regarding the decision of the Larkin tunnel incident
Tan Sri Zaman Khan has urged the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to quickly solve the issue between Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and T-Team in order to avoid more speculation.
Zaman said that there should be some decision from the FAM now as the case happened almost a month ago, yet despite promises made by the FAM’s secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, no action or decision has been taken.
Speaking to Utusan Malaysia, Zaman said “For me, FAM did not act accordingly to this issue. They must prove their ability to stand up for justice without favouring any parties. I’m curious why there is no action taken already. They must not been biased, regardless who is involved in this case.”
Zaman also added that if they do not take immediate action, fans will start to have doubts over their credentials and their capability of handling such cases.
“If we want to increase our standard of football, FAM must work hard to improve their management. It can’t be denied that everything has its weaknesses but they must always work on to fix it rather than keep repeating the same mistakes,” added Zaman.
The case at Larkin happened on Februay 1st, where T-Team’s player and fitness coach claimed that they were assault by JDT’s highest official. Since then, both sides have lodged police reports regarding the incident.
However, after almost a month and various statements having been collected from both sides, there are still no decisions on who is to blame and who is at fault for the incident.
