PBSNT has stated that if both Evaldo Rodrigues and Stefano Impagliazzo want to report the Larkin Stadium incident to FIFA or AFC, the association has no power to stop them
Terengganu Football Association (PBSNT) has stated that it is up to their import player Evaldo Rodrigues, and their fitness coach Stefano Impagliazzo, whether they want to report the incident which happened in Larkin Stadium to two international football associations.
PBSNT President Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam said if both individuals feel that it’s necessary to report the incident, then they are free to do so by sending their reports to the Asian Fooball Confederation (AFC) and Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
According to Berita Harian, Nizam said “I was informed that both of them wanted to report this case to FIFA but for us we haven’t decide(d) on the matters yet. If they want to do so, that’s not in our hands anymore.
Meanwhile according to Rodrigues, he said he will wait what happens next before he takes any further action.
“I want to wait and see what happen in the near future, then I will decide whether I will bring this issue to the AFC or FIFA. For me this is a serious case,” said Rodrigues.
Rodrigues also admitted the case is affecting his performance on the pitch and he will try to focus on the Super League challenges ahead.
Earlier in the month, Rodrigues claimed that he was punched by one of the Johor officials and for that reason T-Team abandoned their FA Cup 2nd round tie with Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) and did not return for the second half.
T-Team went straight back to Terengganu and the FAM gave JDT an automatic 3-0 win, which also mean that T-Team were dumped out of the FA Cup.
Both sides have lodged police reports regarding the issue and T-Team players have swore upon the Al-Quran to prove that they are innocent, and what they have been telling the FAM and the police is all true.
The authorities are still investigating the issues and no decisions are yet be given from any sides to resolve the problems.
