President of the Terengganu Football Association (PBSNT), Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam, said he is not surprised that the FAM decided to give JDT a 3-0 win over T-Team in the FA Cup
The President of PBSNT, Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam Wan Abdul Hamid, has commented that he expected the decision from the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) which means T-Team are out of this year’s FA Cup.
According to Utusan, Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam said “FAM’s decision on the issue was expected and we were right about it.” However he refused to comment further on the issue.
Yesterday, the Committee of Local Competition of the FAM announced that they have rewarded Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) with a 3-0 win for their 2nd round FA Cup tie with T-Team, as The Titans were found guilty for not returning to the field for the second half.
JDT were leading T-Team 2-1, with two goals from Luciano Figureoa, with T-Team pulling one back just before half time through captain Marzuki Yusoff.
A spat between coaches, players and officials from both teams right after the half-time whistle led to T-Team's decision to leave the stadium and travel straight back to Terengganu, for the sake of their safety.
The verdict from the FAM on what actually happened in the tunnel has yet to be revealed as they want to investigate more on the issue with both sides already lodging police reports.
