Reports claim that the experienced Frenchman is already on Malaysian soil as he prepares to be appointed as the new Malaysian national team head coachPhillippe Troussier is edging closer towards becoming the new Malaysian national team head coach, with reports suggesting that he has already arrived in Kuala Lumpur to complete the final stages of negotiation.
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) have been speaking to Troussier for almost two months now, and officials even flew down to Morocco last month in order to close the deal down.
Now it seems that Troussier could only be a signature away from taking over the national team post, with French newspaper L'Equippe reporting that the man is already on Malaysian soil as of now.
Troussier will earn an estimated amount of RM2.7 million per year, and it seems that FAM have secured a sponsor to cover this cost. Besides that, the former Japan head coach is also expected to rope in two of his own assistants, which FAM will be paying for as well.
Besides handling the national team, Troussier will also be attaining the role of Technical Director, which will see him superintend the youth squads as well.
