Kim Swee wants his players to improve their defense, as well as their offense, if they want to get good results at the SEA games
Young Tigers coach, Ong Kim Swee said that his team must use the time left before the SEA Games to tighten up and improve their defence.
He said that other than improving their defensive line, they also must sharpen their finishing in order to get results during the tournament.
According to Sinar Harian, Kim Swee said “We will fix our finishing techniques as well as improving our movements with the ball. Other than that, we must also tighten ourselves at the back.”
Ong Kim Swee also added that he will find the best player to play with Fadhli Shas at the back to ensure a strong defensive partnership in the centre. However their defence did their job in the recent friendly match against JDT II at Pasir Gudang which ended 0-0.
The Young Tigers will look to retain the gold medal they won two years ago this December when they travel to Myanmar for the SEA games.
Malaysia have been drawn into group A with Vietnam, arch-rivals Singapore, Laos and Brunei, and they will face Brunei on the 10th of December in their first game.
