Perak’s mentality in the 2013 Malaysia Cup was not spurned with the defeat against Terengganu in a friendly match at last Thursday.
Their head coach, Azraai Khor, insisted that he is not worried with the defeat and described that the loss will give his players a chance to improve.
He asserted that his players’ confidence levels are still high with the performance shown in that game.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Azraai said: "The result of the match is not important because what’s important is that we were able to see our readiness, especially with the players who rarely featured for us.
"Plus, this game also helps me to come up with new tactics before the real action begins.
"Whatever it is, I am still satisfied with the performance shown by the players."
Azraai also said that his players are ready to face Kedah in a match that will determine their progress in the Malaysia Cup this year.
Perak are currently second in Group D behind Sarawak, but are only separated by goal differences as both teams have bagged seven points in the tournament so far.
