Bojan Hodak wants to use the friendly against Yala FC to evaluate his players for the last two crucial matches in the 2013 Malaysia Cup group stage
Kelantan will have a friendly match against Thai club Yala FC to keep themselves fit when the 2013 Malaysia Cup campaign resumes next week.
According to the head coach of Kelantan, Bojan Hodak, the match between the two clubs will be very important despite the fact that the club only plays in the Thailand second division.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Bojan said: "We are only able to have one friendly match in the two-week break, but it is very valuable to me.
"It will ensure that our momentum is not lost when the Malaysia Cup campaign resumes on September 17.
"This friendly can also help me evaluate my players because we have two crucial matches coming up after the break."
However, Bojan will have to go through the match without several key players, as Shakir Shaari and Fakri Saarani are with the Malaysia national team, while Nik Shahrul is with the Under-23 side for the Merdeka Tournament.
"Khairul Fahmi and Mohd Farisham are still out, but Azizi Matt Rose might return for the match while Dickson [Nwakaeme] will be rested for the clash against Terengganu," he added.
Bojan is still optimistic about the Red Warriors' chances to qualify from the group of death, which includes their east-coast rivals Pahang and Terengganu, as well as Negeri Sembilan, who are at the top of the table.
