Johor Darul Takzim Head Coach, Azmi Mohamed, praised his striker Safee Sali for ending his goal-drought recently when he scored the only goal in the game against Felda United.
Safee scored the only goal of the game to give JDT a chance of making it to the quarterfinals after the Southern Tigers lost their opening match of the 2013 Malaysia Cup.
According to Azmi, Safee’s commitment and performance will continue for future fixtures as JDT are seeking for a good run of wins after registering their first triumph last Saturday.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Azmi said: "We hope Safee can keep playing well for our next game.
"I am also happy with the commitment shown by the player despite the narrow win.
"The win will give as a huge morale boost ahead of out upcoming fixtures as we need to collect maximum points, home or away," he added.
Johor Darul Takzim started their Malaysia Cup campaign with a shock defeat to PKNS, but bounced back against Felda at home.
