Johor Darul Takzim Head Coach, Azmi Mohamad, blamed his players for the defeat against PKNS FC, saying that his players lacked concentration
Johor Darul Takzim's (JDT) new Head Coach Azmi Mohamad was clearly unhappy when his team suffered a 2-0 defeat to PKNS FC in their first match of the Malaysia Cup.
Despite being favourites, JDT were sent home in despair as Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh scored twice to give the Red Ants the upper hand in Group B, giving JDT some hard work to do in their remaining fixtures.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Azmi said: "I always remind my players the importance of focusing especially when it comes to Ronaldinho, but we were too careless and PKNS took advantage of our mistake to score the goals.
"Some of my players [are] still not focused and they were not honest."
Azmi, who was in charge of his first official game as a Head Coach for JDT after replacing Fandi Ahmad, stated that he wants his team to bounce back in the next game and win all their home fixtures.
"We will try to win whenever we play at home and I might change the lineup because I want to make sure that we get all three points when we play at Larkin," he added.
The Southern Tigers succumbed to a 2-0 defeat after Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh scored a goal in each half to give the JDT a poor start to their 2013 Malaysia Cup campaign.
