Johor Darul Takzim have welcomed the likes of Perth Glory FC from the Australian league to play a friendly at the Larkin Stadium
Malaysian Super League side Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) have scheduled a friendly match against the A-League’s Perth Glory FC.
The match will take place on August 14 at the Larkin Stadium.
With the group stages of the 2013 Malaysia Cup looming in the coming weeks, the Southern Tigers would relish the opportunity to rub shoulders with Glory who finished sixth in the A-League in preparation for the nation’s most prestigious cup competition.
Perth Glory Head Coach, Alistair Edwards, would be making a comeback to the region after his historic runs for teams like Sarawak, Selangor, Singapore and none other than Johor FA.
Fans would welcome back the ex-Australian international especially after he helped the Johor faithful win the Super League Championship in 1991.
There also have been reports circulating that JDT star signing Pablo Aimar will make his long-awaited debut against Glory but no official word is out as yet.
Tickets for the game are going at RM20 for grandstand seats and RM10 for the open stand.Kickoff has been set for 8.45pm.
