Former Singapore international Fandi Ahmad's role as Johor Darul Takzim's Head Coach has been prematurely ended, but he will remain the Team Manager
The ex-Singapore international wil however, continue to play a part as their Team Manager, with Johor FA's Azmi Mohamed taking charge of coaching duties until Cesar's arrival next month.
The timing of this news comes as a surprise, considering that the Southern Tigers are currently preparing for the 2013 Malaysia Cup competition.
Fandi has been under immense pressure throughout this year, following his star-studded side's third-place finish in the Malaysian Super League, which is considered to be a failure by many.
The Southern Tigers also succumbed when it mattered the most, as they lost to Kelantan in the 2013 Malaysia FA Cup final as well.
Recently, the Johor Crown Prince, Tunku Ismail Idris released a statement confirming the appointment of Cesar Ferrando, who comes with a wealth of experience, having coached Atletico Madrid and Valencia prior to this.
Fandi's role however, was not specified as speculation continued to heat up on the possibility of him getting the axe.
