Badhri wants to avoid 'Group of Death'

Kelantan captain, Badhri Radzi is hoping for a smoother run in the 2013 Malaysia Cup and hopes to face Johor Darul Takzim in the final

Kelantan skippper, Badhri Radzi, is hoping that his team will avoid being placed in the 'Group of Death' for the 2013 Malaysia Cup campaign next month.

Last season, Kelantan had to work hard to overcome ATM, Terengganu and Kedah, and Piya hopes to avoid facing these teams once again.

Speaking to Sinar Harian, Badhri said: "We cannot reject the fact that we may have to face them because it will all be decided through a balloting process.

"We do not know who we will face and I just hope Kelantan would not go through what happened last season.

"If we get ATM or Terengganu once again, we have to accept it.

"Even teams like Sarawak, Sime Darby FC and others, are strong and we cannot take them lightly."

Piya, Goal's player of the season in the 2013 Malaysian Super League, also admitted that his team will face a tougher challenge in retaining their Malaysia Cup this season.

"Selangor will be on their 'Mission 33' while Terengganu and Darul Takzim (JDT) are really strong.

"If we were in the final again, I hope we can face JDT because it feels like it was not enough when we beat them in the FA Cup final recently."

According to Badri, he is recovering well from his injury and he should be ready when the Malaysia Cup starts.
