National coach Datuk K. Rajagopal wants his players to learn as much as possible when they meet Chelsea this Sunday
National head coach, Datuk K. Rajagopal, believes that the match against Chelsea will be a very useful platform for his players to learn as much as possible from the Europa League Champions which will benefit their game.
Speaking at the press conference yesterday, the 57-year-old said that he wants his players to give their best performance, despite going up against a very strong team.
"Every time we play against any team, we have a goal not to only entertain the fans, but also to give our best performance.
"If possible, I want all my players to learn whatever that’s beneficial from the Chelsea side," Rajagopal said.
King Raja will also use the match to test his players before the all-important clash with Bahrain in the 2015 Asian Cup Qualifiers this October.
In the press confercence, Rajagopal also praised Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho saying that "when [Mourinho] moves to any team, he is successful in guiding them to emerge as champions and he always has a line-up of the best players when he trains a new side."
Malaysia XI will face Chelsea this Sunday at the Shah Alam stadium as the English Premier League club is here as part of their Asia Tour.
