Preliminary negotiations have taken place between the Southern Tigers and the Argentinian wizard who arrived this afternoon but sources insist that a deal is far from being done

Former Valencia playmaker, Pablo Aimar is the latest big name player to be linked with ambitious Johor Darul Takzim.
Goal understands that the Argentinian playmaker arrived in Johor Bahru this afternoon to discuss personal terms with Johor FA President, Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim to join the Southern Tigers next season.
Playing in Malaysia is not new to Aimar as he was part of the Argentina squad who won the Under-20 World Cup here in 1997 together with big names like Juan Roman Riquelme and Esteban Cambiasso. 33-year-old Aimar is currently a free agent since leaving Benfica earlier this month after five successful years with the club and could well be swayed to don the famous red and blue kit of Darul Takzim.
However, according to our sources, should the deal to bring Aimar to Johor fell through, ex French international striker Nicolas Anelka is already being lined up as a possible replacement.
